RAY HENDRIX

Ray was born to Nazarene missionary parents, Spurgeon and Fae Hendrix who served God and the Church for nearly 39 years in Argentina, Uruguay, Cuba and Chile. With Spanish as his first learned language, Ray was raised and educated in Argentina, South America. At the age of 18 he came to the United States and graduated from Bethany Nazarene College (SNU) in 1961 with a degree in linguistics, Romance languages and Religion, while working as a designer for an aircraft company in Oklahoma City. After 40 years of service to the Church and extensive international travel, Ray retired in 2005. He is married to Claire Phillips and they have four grown children and nine grandchildren.

JERRI SAPP
coordinator of mission giving
Jerri is an educator with a passion for missions, specifically the Kansas City Rescue Mission. She spent fourteen years at MidAmerica Nazarene University teaching, developing programs, and writing curriculum. These attributes transferred well into her volunteer work at KCRM where she develops classes for the Christian Development Program. In 2008, Dr. Sapp took an early retirement from MNU to spend additional time at KCRM where she teaches and counsels. She also assisted in the development of the Learning Center.
Jerri serves as director of the Sojourners' ABSF, on the College Church Sunday School Ministries Board, as secretary of NMI Council, and is an usher. Her husband, David, spends volunteer time at CCN as lighting director. Their immediate family includes son Matt and wife Kimbra; daughter Jenni and husband Justin and his daughter, Anaya.

DEBBIE BRADSHAW

Debbie has a great desire for everyone to know more about Missions, especially within the Church of the Nazarene. She has served on the College Church NMI Council in Mission Education for the past 20 years. Debbie works directly with the Mission Coordinators in each of the Adult Bible Study Fellowship classes. She and her husband Rick have two children: Megan, a junior at MidAmerica Nazarene University and Derek, an 8th grader at Frontier Trail Junior High, Olathe, Kansas. Debbie and Rick have been involved in various ministries at College Church since they came to MNU as students in the late 70's. She is the Library Director at Nazarene Theological Seminary, where she has been employed for the last 22 years.

DIANE BOSWORTH

Diane has served in several ministries at College Church since she came as a student in 1976. She has a BA and a M. ed from Mid-America Nazarene University. She is presently a first grade teacher at Scarborough Elementary in Olathe, and celebrates the opportunity of having students from other countries by learning about their heritage within the classroom. Diane has two daughters Briana, age 17 and Brooke age 14. She is a supporter of teen mission trips and believes it to be the most powerful experience they will encounter during their teenage years. In 1996, Diane traveled to Calcutta, India with Heart to Heart International, where she was inspired by Mother Teresa's compassion for children from around the world.
Diane's role, as an NMI Council member, encompasses the Jesus Film Harvest Partners, World Mission Broadcast, and Global Nazarene Publications.

ELLEN WEINSTOCK

Ellen is the owner of a residential design business that she runs from home while having raised three children who are now grown. She is married to Shelly and has been a member of College Church for 30 years. During most of that period Ellen has been the alto Section Leader in the 125-voice choir. She is also the go-to choice for script writing the various video productions during special College Church anniversaries.

JIM MEANS

Jim was a high school teacher and coach and also coached college basketball before entering the pastoral ministry. He pastored 32 years on the Iowa, Colorado and Kansas Districts. Jim served on many district boards and was the Work & Witness coordinator for the Colorado District for 5 years. He and his wife Carol have four married daughters, sons in laws and 12 grandchildren, all who live in Olathe and are a part of College Church. Jim is presently employed at The Home Depot and is also a real estate agent with Keller Williams Realty.

ROY SIMPSON

Roy is a retired educator. His undergraduate degree in Art is from Southern Nazarene University (BNC) where he met his wife Lenore. He received an MSEd degree from Central Missouri State University. Roy and Lenore have four children and eleven grandchildren. They are active members of College Church of the Nazarene, Olathe, Kansas and attend the His Fellowship class. Roy is also an active member of the design team that manages the web site for The Center for LifeStory Writing.

Tabita nació y fue criada en Brazil. Está casada con David que origina en México. Tabita y David se conocieron en Sud Africa durante un encuentro juvenil llamado, La Tercera Ola: Un Evento de Liderazgo Juvenil. Después de su boda en noviembre de 2007, vinieron a los Estados Unidos para servir en el Centro de Ministerio Global de la Iglesia del Nazareno. Tabita was born and raised in Brazil. She is married to David, who is from Mexico. Tabita and David met in South Africa during a Third Wave: Global Youth Leadership Event. After getting married in November 2007 they moved to the USA to serve the Church of the Nazarene in the Global Ministry Center. Tabita served for 5 years with NYI Brazil, and before coming to the USA, worked with Compassion International for 3 years. David served for 6 years as a missionary in Guatemala working with the NYI (Nazarene Youth International) on the MAC (Mexico and Central America) Region. Tabita and David attend College Church and serve in the Hispanic Ministry with the Youth Group and Missions. They enjoy serving the Lord and are truly passionate for the Hispanic ministry.

ALTHEA CAMPBELL

Althea is a retired 20 year veteran of MNU having served many years as secretary to the business manager. She is a graduate of Southern Nazarene University. Althea has two sons: Delvin and Brad, two daughters-in-law Michelle and Mica, and three grandchildren. Althea acts as a mission education assistant and NMI Information Coordinator. You'll see her mostly in the Vanderpool Lobby behind the counter handing out and taking in reading books, CD's and tapes. She is a member-at-large on the NMI Council.

J. Paul is retired from a 35 year editing and design ministry career at Nazarene Headquarters and several local church venues. He is responsible for design, and posting on this web site. J. Paul also manages the Stories, Histories, and Photos menu. He has been married to Marilyn over 50 years. They have one daughter and two "adult" granddaughters. They live in Olathe, Kansas and are active members of the Harvester Class at College Church of the Nazarene.
