The Family of Cliff Couse

Cliff Couse passed away on August 13 after suffering a massive stroke. Please pray for the family during this time. Cliff was the stepfather of Sandy Cunningham, missionary serving at JESUS Film Harvest Partners in the U.S.A. and a member of College Church.

Dear Friends:
We'd like to ask for your special prayers for the 8 member team from the Yakima, WA West Valley Church of the Nazarene that left today with Giovanni to work on a project in Chanrayo, El Progreso, Guatemala. This is the place where we are launching projects to assist this drought-affected area: raising chickens for eggs and meat, and rabbits to sell for meat and as pets, and family vegetable gardens. These projects will help the community to diversify their resources and income and lead to a more sustainable future regardless of weather conditions. They will also spend a day at the local elementary school doing Bible school, dental hygiene, evangelism-soccer, etc. There will also be a one day medical clinic. And weather permitting - a JESUS film showing.
Pray for: protection, strength, health, effective communication as they work to teach people new ways, and fruitful seeds of the Gospel being planted. Pray for the local leaders from the district to be encouraged that these kinds of projects can make a difference in the lives of their people and be effective ways to share the gospel and open new churches.
